AMO 2026
Saturday, 31 October 2026
Offline competition · online for primary on 24 Oct, secondary on 1 Nov
AMO Is Not Like School Math
Many bright students are surprised on competition day. AMO questions test thinking, not memorizing.
Unfamiliar question types
Cryptarithms, digit counting, paths on a grid, number patterns… Topics that rarely appear in school tests.
25 questions in 90 minutes
That's under 4 minutes per question. Without practice under time pressure, kids run out of time.
Built-in traps
Answers like 240% or 24 instead of 32 are designed to catch careless thinking. Kids need to learn to check.
Everything Your Child Needs to Prepare
One place for practice, explanations and progress, so you don't have to collect past papers yourself.
Daily AMO Challenge
10 AMO-style questions a day for your child's grade. Just 20–30 minutes to build a steady habit.
Timed Mock Tests
Full mock tests in the AMO format with a 90-minute timer, so competition day feels familiar.
Step-by-Step Explanations
Every question explained clearly, with olympiad shortcuts and the common traps to avoid.
Mistake Notebook
Wrong answers are saved automatically, so your child can review and retry until they get them right.
Topic Map
See which topics are strong and which need work: Number Theory, Geometry, Counting, Logic and more.
Weekly Parent Report

Number Theory · ⭐ Easy
Find the ones digit of \( 2^{10} + 3^{9} \).
Shortcut: only the last digit matters! Powers of 2 end in 2, 4, 8, 6, 2, 4, … and \(10 \div 4\) leaves remainder 2, so \(2^{10}\) ends in 4. Powers of 3 end in 3, 9, 7, 1, … and \(9 \div 4\) leaves remainder 1, so \(3^{9}\) ends in 3. \(4 + 3 = 7\).

Questions from Parents
What is AMO?
AMO (American Mathematics Olympiad) is an international math competition for Grade 2 to 12, organized by SIMCC. In Indonesia it is run by SIMCC Indonesia. Students solve 25 questions in 90 minutes.
How is TempatLes different from just doing past papers?
Every question has a step-by-step explanation and olympiad shortcuts, mistakes are saved in a Mistake Notebook to practise again, and the Topic Map shows which topics your child should focus on before the competition.
How much time should my child practise before AMO?
Short daily practice works best: one Daily Challenge (about 20–30 minutes) every day, plus one timed 90-minute mock test each weekend.
Are the questions in English?
Yes. Questions follow the AMO international format in English, the same language used in the competition.
Can we try it for free?
Yes. Sign up free and your child can do one quiz every day. Upgrade any time for unlimited practice, all mock tests and full explanations.
